It’s with a heavy heart I said goodbye to my dad on Thursday. He was a humble man not driven by material possessions just that of being a good human. He was a father, husband, father in law, pappou to my daughters and a priest.

He taught me everything I know about hospitality. However the most valuable lesson was that of kindness and generosity. Swearing was my introduction as he never used bad words and would always ask me “is it necessary to use the “F” word all the time.

Going to miss you Jimmy. Just wish you could have had a coffee at roasted before your time was up.

Our coffee machine has gone down like a wounded soldier. We are still serving filter coffee and all the good stuff just no flatties or cupsofcino.

Well today marks our 8th year of trading. In that eight years we have created a bucket load of roastaholics. Sorry we are not there to celebrate but I will be back with more fresh ideas.

So in the meantime I would like to thank you all for your support, I would also like to thank the my awesome crew that puts up with my constant abuse and my great suppliers.
