Many of you already know but this winter is brining some change to the Deli.
First - no I haven’t just eaten a lot of cake, baby Jay number two is on her way! She’ll be joining us in November so I’ll be slowly winding down over the next few weeks.
Then, we knew this was coming but it doesn’t make it any less sad, our Bryher is heading on her adventure of a lifetime in December.
So we’re starting the search early for someone, or possibly two people to join our team.
Here’s the details…
⭐️ this position will be available from early to mid November. It’s not an immediate start, we don’t want to rush this decision.
⭐ we have about 30-40 hours to fill and this could be split between two people. You must have some weekend availability though. We’re always closed Mondays and Tuesdays through the winter.
⭐ we do two evenings a month, you wouldn’t have to work them but they are pretty fun so let us know if you’re up for it.
⭐ we feed you every shift, without fail.
The type of person we’re looking for…
💎 you care. I mean really. You don’t roll your eyes if someone comes in 5 minutes before closing. You spend the quiet times looking for things to do, you want to make sure every person that comes through the door has a nice time.
💎 ideally you’ll have some hospitality experience (FOH, barista, cook, baker) but if you don’t, you must be willing to learn and you must love food! We’ll be training you in all of the above.
💎 you have other stuff that you care about - kids (we can work around nursery/school to a certain extent), maybe another job or side hustle, sport or even just going to the pub 🤣 we know that your job is not your life.
💎 you’re over 18. Whilst we know there are some epic young people out there, there will be certain parts of the job that require you to be an adult in the eyes of the law, like serving alcohol without supervision 🍺 🍷
Basically we’re looking for another Bryher 🤣 a tough task!
