A little update from Ginger’s 💗

Following on from our recent announcement, I wanted to let you know that Ginger’s Diner will now be closing a little earlier than originally planned.

Our final day of trading will be Saturday 12th September 2026.

There are a few reasons behind bringing the date forward, but ultimately it feels like the right time to bring this chapter of Ginger’s to a close and give me the time I need to prepare for what comes next.

Between now and then, it’s business as usual — plenty of coffee, cake, milkshakes and all the Ginger’s favourites. 🥤🍰

I’d absolutely love to see as many of you as possible over these final few weeks, whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or have only recently discovered our little diner on Bond Street.

This isn’t quite the last time the doors will open, though…

After we finish trading, we’ll still be holding our Ginger’s Open House Sale, where we’ll be selling a huge range of furniture, equipment, décor, memorabilia and bits and pieces from around the diner.

So whether you’re another local business looking for equipment, or you simply fancy taking home a little piece of Ginger’s history, there’ll be plenty up for grabs. 💗

Full details, date, times and a preview of what will be available will be shared soon.

For now, though, we’ve got a few more weeks of Ginger’s to enjoy.

It’s taken me a long time to write this.

After many months of thought, I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision not to renew the lease on Ginger’s Diner, meaning we will be closing our doors later this year.

This hasn’t been an easy decision. Like many independent hospitality businesses, we’ve faced increasing financial pressures, and after a great deal of consideration, I know this is the right time to close this chapter.

Since opening in 2024, Ginger’s Diner has become so much more than a café. It has been a safe space, a community hub, and a place where friendships and memories have been made. Together we’ve achieved more than I ever imagined, and I will always be incredibly proud of what we’ve built.

We are currently planning for our final day of trading to be Saturday 17 October. However, as we begin winding down the business, this date may need to be brought forward. We will confirm our guaranteed final trading day during September. Until then, it’s business as usual, and we’d love to see as many of you as possible.

Following our final trading day, we’ll be holding a Ginger’s Diner Open House, giving you the opportunity to purchase furniture, décor, equipment and memorabilia to take home a little piece of Ginger’s Diner or support another local business. Full details will be shared closer to the time.

To everyone who has supported us over the past few years—thank you. Every visit, every coffee, every conversation and every kind word has meant more than you’ll ever know.

This may be the end of Ginger’s Diner in its current home, but the memories and community we’ve created together will last forever.

Now that we’re officially into the summer holidays we are open 10-4 Tues-Saturday each week!
