Itās taken me a long time to write this.
After many months of thought, Iāve made the incredibly difficult decision not to renew the lease on Gingerās Diner, meaning we will be closing our doors later this year.
This hasnāt been an easy decision. Like many independent hospitality businesses, weāve faced increasing financial pressures, and after a great deal of consideration, I know this is the right time to close this chapter.
Since opening in 2024, Gingerās Diner has become so much more than a cafĆ©. It has been a safe space, a community hub, and a place where friendships and memories have been made. Together weāve achieved more than I ever imagined, and I will always be incredibly proud of what weāve built.
We are currently planning for our final day of trading to be Saturday 17 October. However, as we begin winding down the business, this date may need to be brought forward. We will confirm our guaranteed final trading day during September. Until then, itās business as usual, and weād love to see as many of you as possible.
Following our final trading day, weāll be holding a Gingerās Diner Open House, giving you the opportunity to purchase furniture, dĆ©cor, equipment and memorabilia to take home a little piece of Gingerās Diner or support another local business. Full details will be shared closer to the time.
To everyone who has supported us over the past few yearsāthank you. Every visit, every coffee, every conversation and every kind word has meant more than youāll ever know.
This may be the end of Gingerās Diner in its current home, but the memories and community weāve created together will last forever.
With love and gratitude,
