Well unfortunately the rain is coming on my last day but that is not stopping me. Samphire will be playing inside and we shall put a couple of gazebos up. Bring a raincoat but I will be there and my lovely staff to celebrate an end of an era - see you Sunday xx

UPDATE.......
After 16 years Royston and Caz are handing over the reigns to the next generation. Caz' s last trading day will be Sunday the 21st September. Praying that the Weather is on our side as we have Samphire playing between 3.30pm and 6pm so if you are around it would be lovely if you could join Caz and her staff, past and present for a drink or two. The pub will then be closed for 5 days. The new tenants Michell and Miquel will reopen hopefully for drinks on the Friday Evening, Saturday at the latest and they are hoping to open fully from the 29th September including food and hopefully B&B.
The phone lines should be up and running from then. I am sure that more updates will be given nearer the time.
A huge thank you to staff and customers, couldn't have done it without you all. We have every confidence that Michell and Miquel will continue to ensure that the Bottom Ship remains the hub of the community, offering good food, drinks and accommodation to the many locals, customers and visitors alike.
I will miss you all but I am very much looking forward to getting out of the kitchen and sitting on the otherside of the bar 😁

So the countdown begins. Our last trading day at the Bottom Ship is the 21st September and today we say goodbye to one of our key family members Louis Mccannon. Louis has been with us for 5 years and has been my right hand man for the last three years. He has held the reigns at the front whilst I have been stuck in the kitchen and has always given me 100 percent. For a young man who is only 21, I have seen him grow into a responsible young man - sometimes 😘. He now has a beautiful baby boy and is moving on to bigger and better things. I thank him from the bottom of my heart for being part of my journey. I feel like this is the start of many a post saying goodbye but for now a huge shout out to Louis who will be sorely missed. He has no escape, I will always be part of your life and see you very soon - love Mama Caz xx
