Sicily is beautiful and complicated. Mafia isn’t a myth, it’s culture, whether we like it or not. Omertà has cost this island a century of silence, and leaving was my shortcut out. But everything has a price. Grateful the UK gave me what my own country never did. 🇮🇹🇬🇧
