We've found ourselves a nice little mooring spot tucked up opposite Wharf Farm. It's one of those spots where it'd be tempting to linger a bit longer than planned. A big bonus is that the sun has been shining all afternoon🌞

The farm has a cafe and also sells fruit, veg and local produce.
There's something rather satisfying about stepping off the boat and coming back with a large bag bag of spuds.

Shackerstone itself has plenty of character and history. The village dates back many centuries and played a small part in the English Civil War. Today it's perhaps best known for the restored Shackerstone Station, home of the Battlefield Line Railway, where heritage trains still run through the countryside
