I have learnt a lot in the difference between being a sole trader here at TPP and being a limited company with my cafe.

VAT is one, if not the main killer of small businesses ATM.

We are handing 20% of the turnover straight away, then we are taxed at 20% tax on ANY profit. That’s 40% to HMRC ….it feels sometimes “what’s the point” but I hang in there knowing CHANGE must happen and with the power of voting, protesting, signing petitions CHANGE will come.

Keep the high street alive, keep hospitality and people in work with locally sourced produce etc etc!

OKAY TEAM! It has been the most spenny week of ma lyf! Ovbs we missed out on BH which was a bit of a blow as we enter our slower season. ☀️

Unfortunately team, even with the new regulator, I need a part of the machine replacing. The thermocouple has snapped in 2.

I’ll be contacting some has engineers tonight but we won’t be open tomorrow 😭😖

WOW what a day. The team were amazing, people not even working came down to help.

Thankfully a team members close friend is a gas engineer and worked out the problem via phone!

I found a regulator in Wellingborough and having a gas engineer fit it tonight! I will keep
you all posted about tomorrows set up !!
