And this is why you should always check that the person you're ordering from is REGISTERED with the council!
Also the reason I don't cater for allergies, and the reason pre-packaged bakes should be labelled with full ingredients list in line with Natasha's Law.
Imagine that plastic wasn't there and they served that cake, with one of the brides having a severe nut allergy.....

Do your homework before ordering a cake guys, make sure you're ordering from someone who is registered.

A wrongly coloured wedding cake containing plastic layers and potentially containing deadly nut traces has led to a baker being ordered to pay just under £4,000 in fines and costs by magistrates.

Morning guys.
It's a bit wild down here at the harbour but I've decided to open for now.

I'll give it until 11am, if the weather gets worse or there's no customers, I will be closing early.

Please be very careful if you're venturing out. The wind is awful down here 🌧️🌪️

Afternoon guys. If the weather is as bad as they say tomorrow there is a chance I may close the cafe for the safety of staff and customers.

Evening guys.
Thanks to everybody who popped by this weekend, we had a busy two days.

I hope those who are doing the cafe trail are enjoying it so far, we've had a fair few folk in taking leaflets or getting their second/third stamp. Still plenty of time left to start the trail, just grab a leaflet and get your stamps ☕ 🍰

Anyway this week's scone is G, any flavour beginning with G and I'll pick one at random to make this weekend ❤️

Morning guys!

Just wanted to do a wee shout out 😊

Naomi Angus has been with us for over a year now and has gained a lot of confidence when it comes to working front of house and making coffees. I remember when Naomi wouldn't say boo to a goose 😂 I'm so glad to have her on the team ❤️

Helen Mckay Adamson gained some qualifications after doing a free course at the vinery. She then approached me to ask if she could volunteer with us to put the qualifications to use but also to help her gain a bit of confidence. Of course the answer was yes. I'm grateful for Helen, stepping in as a volunteer to give us a hand 🩷

Robert Seymour is no longer with us (until I'm short staffed 🤫😂) but he's been there from the beginning, supporting me, giving me a push when I need one, cheering me up when I'm down, guiding me when I need it... The list goes on....

I couldn't do any of this without you guys, so thank you so, so much.

Enough of me being soppy now 🤣🤣
