The response to Maré Brasil over the past few weeks has genuinely meant a lot to us.
Thank you to everyone who has followed the page, shared our posts, tagged friends and family, sent messages and applied to join our opening team at Macduff Marine Aquarium.
We’ve already received a fantastic number of applications and are now working through them carefully.
If you’ve already applied, thank you for your patience. We’ll be in touch with candidates over the coming days as the recruitment process continues. Applications also remain open.
As we move into the next stage of preparing Maré Brasil, we’d also love to hear from the people producing great food and drink across Macduff, Banff, Aberdeenshire and the wider North East of Scotland.
We’re keen to connect with:

• Butchers
• Bakeries
• Coffee roasters
• Dairies
• Food and drink producers
• Artisan makers
• Ice cream producers
• Vegan and gluten-free suppliers
We’re interested in both ingredients and finished products.
Our aim is to bring together Brazilian-inspired hospitality with quality local produce and, wherever possible, tell the story of the people and businesses behind what we serve.
That could mean locally sourced ingredients appearing in dishes such as our Chicken Stroganoff, local baking alongside our Brazilian favourites, locally roasted coffee, seasonal specials and much more.
