A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported our quiz nights over the past few months. Whether you’ve been with us every week or just joined us for the odd quiz, you’ve helped make them such a fantastic evening of laughs, friendly competition and great company.

An extra special thank you goes to the teams who still came out tonight despite the extreme heat – we really appreciate your support! ☀️🥵🍺

🌸 LADIES’ SHOOTING & PIMM’S AFTERNOON 🌸

Ladies, who’s up for trying something a little different?

We’re considering hosting a fun and friendly afternoon at Chessgrove Shooting Ground followed by a relaxed Pimms Afternoon Tea back at the pub, and we’d love to know if there’s enough interest to make it happen.

🍓 Afternoon tea-style food at the pub
🍹 Glass of Pimms included
🥪 Strawberry sandwiches and other delicious treats

Whether you’ve never picked up a shotgun before or fancy having another go, this is designed to be a safe, welcoming and enjoyable experience for complete beginners and experienced shots alike.

St Anthony's Well

We know St Anthony’s Well means a lot to people, and we really appreciate how much care there is for this special place.

Because it’s a Grade II listed structure, any repairs or changes need proper permission and advice from conservation specialists to make sure it’s protected for the future.

We’re aware that a group is planning to carry out works at the well over the Solstice weekend. Anyone considering getting involved should be aware that no works have been authorised.

We’d ask that no alterations are carried out so the well isn’t inadvertently damaged.
Carrying out alterations without permission is classed as a Heritage crime and those taking part could be liable to prosecution.
