Most people compare caterers by looking at the menu.

We think that's a mistake.

A great corporate caterer does far more than provide food. They help solve logistical challenges, accommodate dietary requirements, manage last-minute changes and ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.

In our latest blog, we're sharing some of the things we've learned after years of working in corporate hospitality and the questions every event organiser should ask before booking a caterer.

If you're planning a board meeting, networking event, client reception or company celebration, this one is worth a read.

What's the strangest place we've ever catered?

After decades in hospitality, we've catered in some incredible locations across London and the South East.

Historic venues with no kitchens.
Private homes with limited access.
Outdoor events in all kinds of weather.

But perhaps the most unusual was providing a fine dining experience at the London Cable Car for New Year's Eve.

Creating a successful event in a venue like this takes much more than great food. It requires planning, logistics, teamwork and a willingness to solve challenges as they arise.

The result was an unforgettable evening with spectacular views across London.

What's the most unusual venue you've ever visited?

Yesterday, these strawberries were still in our kitchen garden.

Today, they've been transformed into homemade strawberry ice cream and plated as part of a summer dessert.

From picking the fruit to spinning the ice cream and plating the finished dish, it's been a lovely reminder of why we love working with seasonal ingredients.

Sometimes the best ingredients don't have very far to travel.

The reveal!

Yesterday we shared the journey from kitchen garden to freezer. Today we're sharing the finished result.

These strawberries were picked from our garden, cooked down, blended into an ice cream base, frozen overnight and spun into homemade strawberry ice cream before being plated as part of a summer dessert.

It's hard to beat the flavour of strawberries picked at their peak.

What's your favourite way to enjoy strawberries in summer?

From garden to freezer.

One of the joys of having a kitchen garden is being able to pick ingredients at their peak and use them almost immediately.

These strawberries were picked from our garden, gently cooked down, blended into an ice cream base and poured into the Ninja Creami tub ready to freeze overnight.

It's a simple process, but one that reminds us how much difference great ingredients can make.

We'll share the finished result tomorrow.

Do you grow any fruit or vegetables at home?

We were asked to make pug-themed cupcakes.
Challenge accepted.
These strawberry cupcakes were made gluten-free and topped with handmade fondant pugs, each with its own little personality.
One of the things we love most about bespoke cakes and bakes is bringing a client's idea to life, especially when that idea involves dogs.
The only question is...
Which pug is your favourite?

Why do some corporate events leave a lasting impression while others are quickly forgotten?

Often, it comes down to the guest experience.

Food and hospitality influence how attendees feel throughout an event. They help create opportunities for networking, maintain energy levels, accommodate dietary requirements and demonstrate attention to detail.

In our latest blog, we explore why catering is one of the most important, and often most overlooked, elements of a successful corporate event.

If you're planning a conference, client event, networking reception or team gathering, this is worth a read.

Sunday's delivery included 34 children's mini picnic boxes for a birthday party.

Each box contains sandwiches, fresh fruit, crudités, a sweet treat and fruit juice, giving every child their own individual lunch to enjoy.

Parents love them because they're simple, practical and help take some of the stress out of party catering.

No queues.
No sharing platters.
No wondering who's eaten what.

Just great food, packed and ready to go.

It's always lovely seeing these boxes heading off to another celebration.

Most people see the finished event.

The food beautifully presented.
The room ready for guests.
The guests enjoying themselves.

What they don't see are the early starts, the planning, the deliveries and the logistics that happen beforehand.

Yesterday's walk through The Mall was just one small part of another successful event in London.

Every event starts long before the first guest arrives.

POV: You want something a little different from a traditional wedding cake 👀

This weekend we delivered a bespoke brownie tree packed with:

🍫 Rich Chocolate
🍓 Raspberry
🍊 Orange
🍪 Biscoff

Plus a vegan gluten-free brownie that guests couldn't believe was vegan and gluten free.

Created especially for George and Mia's wedding day ❤️

Would you choose a brownie tower over a traditional wedding cake?

Last week we had the pleasure of attending the soft launch of Sip & Soar with Greenwich Gin at the London Cable Car.

The experience combines a gin masterclass with spectacular views across London from the cable car, creating something a little different from the usual night out.

As caterers, we're lucky enough to visit some incredible venues and experiences across London. It's always inspiring to see businesses working together to create something memorable for visitors and event guests alike.

Thank you to the teams at Greenwich Gin and the London Cable Car for having us.

Have you ever taken a trip across the Thames on the cable car?

What catering should you provide for a corporate event?

It's a question we answer almost every week.

The right catering depends on what you're trying to achieve. A board meeting, networking event, training day and summer party all require a different approach.

In our latest blog, we've created a practical guide to help London businesses choose the most suitable catering style for their event.

Inside you'll find guidance on:

• Sandwich lunches and boardroom catering
• Canapés and bowl food for networking
• Buffets and BBQs for team celebrations
• Conference and training day catering
• Common mistakes to avoid

If you're planning a corporate event and aren't sure where to start, this guide is for you.
