As I sit here at Reggies hospital bedside for the 3rd night running, reflecting on today I'd like to both apologise and thankyou all ❤️❤️❤️

My hot-headed side came out, my Dad often used to say how chilled and calm I always was till it came to him or my boys! Today it extended to the lovely Evie and my shop, the shop I've poured my heart, soul and tears into for over 3 years now!

I was going to apologize for bringing this incident into the public eye but I've realised I'm not sorry for that and I have no reason to be, the person who should be apologising especially to Evie is the sad individual who wasn't even brave enough to leave their details......we all know that won't happen though, but I'm sorry such a lovely day filled with so much positivity and community spirit was mixed with this spineless, pathetic attempt at bringing myself and others down!

I want to say a huge thankyou to every single person that leapt to our defense, that supported and encouraged Evie's amazing fundraising attempts, that applauded the community spirit.

I've had inboxes offering support, I've had inboxes offering me the use of their drive whilst visiting Reggie, people messaging to check that my emotional and mental health is ok and not taking a decline as I deal with this pettiness whilst spending every night at Reggies bedside then going straight to work each morning (I've not even been home since I left for A&E on Wednesday morning) and knowing how fragile my mind and heart still is after losing my Daddy just before Christmas ❤️❤️❤️

I've even had other cafes owners or cafe workers comment with words of support......that speaks HUGE volumes and shows how the genuine cafe owners and workers really 'get each other' and will be there to support!

The amount of you that openly came out in show of support on my post is truly amazing and yes it made me cry because it made me realise that one person's poor attempts to ruin someone else will never win against a whole community pulling together.

Our 'followers' have increased drastically, I've got new followers commenting with supportive words, I've even got new table bookings for tomorrow.......wasn't expecting that!!

I guess it's true 'there is no such thing as bad publicity'

Thankyou everyone for the continued support, you have never once let me down and I'm incredibly thankful to have such wonderful people who turn every negative into a positive ❤️

Whilst one individual was using a 16 year olds girls attempts at raising money for charity as a means of attacking myself and Mrs C's Tea Cosy another individual was planning a very special drop off for an extremely special boy 💚

Earlier in the week I commented on a post saying I hoped to find an 'Ernie Book' yes I'm a great big kid!!

This afternoon Ali DM of Greener Derby came in with a book for the youngest member of Mrs C's our very own little Reggie who we can all agree has had a really rotten time the past 3 years and in the past two weeks alone has had two hospital admissions.

Reggie underwent another procedure this evening and was extremely upset and distressed, after he had calmed down a little I gave him this and his whole face lit up and immediately he said 'you can read that to me Mum as I'm in too much pain' for the first time since being in hospital he was giggling at all of Ernie's adventures in lots of different parks! At the end of the book Reggie said 'I bet Ernie was hungry with all that walking he did, I hope his owner gave him some treats' and asked if he could see a real picture of Ernie so showed him and he said 'Aaaaaw I need to meet him'
Thankyou Ali for helping to cheer Reggie up, he loved the book and thinks Ernie looks really cute 🥰

Oh and Alison Woodings you got a mention too.....the boy wants to know can you bring Basil to see him at the hospital 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

So much kindness today because The Good Will Always Outweigh The Bad ❤️

One of the young girls that were involved in the incident last Friday came back to see me with this lovely card and chocolates 💖

Completely unexpected and truly warmed my heart ❤️

I've hidden the name to protect the girls identity, but this is one example of how great our community really is.

This will always be a safe space for all that need it

Thankyou to PCSO Darcy-Cox, PCSO Supervisor Coleman, Cllr Ajit Atwal & Ali DM of Greener Derby who called in this afternoon!

They did all arrive immediately after what is now known as like all of the customers in at the time they were in complete shock and all reassured me I had nothing at all to worry about.

Lots of positive enhancement with our PCSOs and we are extremely pleased to announce they have offered to set up monthly drop in sessions at Mrs C's Tea Cosy

Lots of exciting things discussed with Ajit and Ali DM in regards to events to be held at Mrs C’s later this year especially at Halloween and Christmas, with PCSO Supervisor Coleman offering to make me a wreath at Christmas and we have a wonderful theme we are working on for this Christmas 🎄

We have also had donations towards our ‘safe space’ along with residents of all ages coming in to thank us for providing a place where they feel safe. Ajit has also very generously offered to contribute towards this as and when it is needed.

Ali DM carried out a random act of kindness for a very special young person……..more on that later 💚💛❤️

This post is a HUGE SHOUT OUT TO THE SAD INDIVIDUAL that decided it was a great idea to report me for allowing a 16 year old girl to sell homemade jams to raise money for charity!!

I'm guessing the person that reported us doesn't have a single ounce of community spirit in their body or a shred of human decency......how do I know this? Upon my EHO ringing me she told me you didn't leave a contact number so you HID behind your phone/computer screen.

With everything happening in Littleover over recent weeks and you choose to attack a 16 year old trying to do something good!

Furthermore my 13 year old son is extremely poorly in hospital and as you're sat stalking my page you will also know this......again this speaks absolute volumes about you as a person!

Evie and her mum were still here at the time and spoke to the EHO and confirmed they have Health & Hygiene certificates, EHO was wonderful and said she won't be taking anything further and didn't even come out to see us, the telephone call was enough for her to be satisfied, she will not be taking further action as it's a 'one off' which if you bothered to read the post properly you would know this!

As always we will continue doing us as we successfully have for the past 3 years ❤️❤️❤️

Thankyou though as it has reminded them that we are due an inspection as our last one was January 2024.......and this is the first complaint we've had so I will take that as a win!!

The very fact you chose to report this shows that you can't find fault with my food hygiene practices!

Suzie has messaged and asked me to share their hygiene certificates!

I hope whoever felt the need to cowardly report a 16 year old in an attempt to attack and hurt Mrs C's Tea Cosy is satisfied with themselves and perhaps instead of stalking my page you get a grip of your own life and start making a difference to the Littleover Community and beyond as people like you certainly don't hold value to our residents ❤️❤️❤️

Lots of Love

Mrs C xx

P.S Jealousy is a bitter pill to swallow!!

P.P.S as this post has proven our motto once more THE GOOD WILL ALWAYS OUTWEIGH THE BAD

The 21-year-old man from Derby remains in police custody while enquiries continue.

Thank you to all who made contact with us and provided information.
