fans looking for something to do this evening... then why not join Ian at the Invergordon Museum and shard this really interesting and inspiring Good News Story..
Join us tonight at Invergordon Museum for a talk by local historian and Chairman of Clyne Heritage Society, Nick Lindsay.
Nick traces the story of the Old Clyne School in Brora, from its beginnings as a Victorian parish school, through its many roles over the years, to its decline as a derelict building on the A9.
The talk will feature rare photographs, behind-the-scenes insight into the ambitious redevelopment project, and the story of how a small community heritage society delivered one of the most exciting heritage regeneration projects in the Highlands.
Thanks to the dedication of Brora Heritage members, volunteers and an ambitious fundraising effort, the old school has been transformed into the thriving Brora Heritage Centre, now home to the popular Clyne Kitchen and the impressive Brora Heritage Museum. It has become a valued stop for hundreds of visitors travelling the North Coast 500.
Could you support Invergordon Museum as we work to revive our own High Street? Our small town has a BIG history, and with the redevelopment of the old Town Hall, thanks to Invergordon Development Trust, and the planned relocation of Invergordon Museum, the High Street could be truly regenerated.
Come along this evening to find out how you can be part of the journey to make Invergordon a town to be proud of once again.
