We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team!
The successful candidate will take ownership of a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards while supporting the wider team during service.
Key Responsibilities-
Manage and maintain a specific section of the kitchen during preparation and service.
Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with company specifications and quality standards.
Ensure consistency in food quality, portion control, and presentation.
Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations.
Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising food waste.
Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures are followed at all times.
Train and support Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants where required.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials.
Work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
Requirements-
Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready for progression.
Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
Strong understanding of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality & cleaniliness.
Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
Desirable Qualifications-
Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate (This can be provided).
Formal culinary training or relevant catering qualification.
Experience working in a high-volume fresh-food environment.
