Sunday Roasts or for those looking for a casual bite, a set menu is available.

Can we all agree on this?

That a Sunday Roast is the cosiest, most autumnal plate available to humanity?

Charcoal-roasted rump or sirloin. Dry-aged, native-breed glory, cooked to pink infinity.

Surrounded by equally adored trimmings. And a mountainous Yorkie.

Finished with umami-bomb bone-marrow gravy.

What does your pud choice say about you?

Carla had fun making these seasonal treats and we had fun imagining who’d order them.

Welcome to our entirely unscientific pub pud psychology:

🍊 Spiced marmalade pudding – The old soul

Likes a proper pub, a good book and a stiff drink. Has strong opinions about the correct way to make tea.

🍫 Hot chocolate tart – The hedonist

Life’s too short for moderation. Orders another bottle of red – with dessert. Doesn’t care a hoot.

🍋 Yoghurt & lemon pavlova – The social butterfly

Always has three things planned for Saturday. Probably organised tonight’s dinner.

🫐 Blackcurrant whipped cheesecake – The dark horse

Doesn’t say much at dinner but when they do everyone listens. Excellent taste in music!

How did we do?

You have 3 days left!

Then ’s bacon double cheese BURGURR is gone.

Last day is this Saturday 31st October.

Then we’re putting it behind glass in the (imaginary) Hawksmoor Hall of Flame.

Best place to get it?

27/10/2026

Strongbow?!

A man of many surprises, our . 😉

And , we couldn’t agree more with your shout-out.

Here are three more pubs we love:

❶ – for the beef cheek and Guinness suet pudding.

❷ – for the slow-cooked lamb shoulder.

❸ – for the pâté en croûte and crab soup.

But hey, we do some pretty good pub grub ourselves! Ever tried the steak frites?

25/10/2026

We looted the Natural History Museum for this place.

Well, not quite…

But when we opened Hawksmoor Guildhall 15 years ago, we did get our hands on a load of its old mahogany display cases and turned them into wall panelling.

And that was just the start:

🪵 Parquet floor, from an old town hall

🧪 Chemistry lab worktops, from some of Britain’s poshest schools

🧱 Glazed bricks, salvaged from the London Underground

All because we wanted it to feel like a proper City institution. Something to match the grandeur of that amazing façade.

And, you know what, we think it worked.

Happy birthday, Hawksmoor Guildhall!

What do you MEAN you’ve not tried one yet?

There’s a decent chance it’s the world’s best burger.

OK, not the most modest statement.

But it was created by supremo burger reviewer and our head – so you’ll forgive us the big talk.

What’s certain is that it’s stop-you-mid-conversation good.

Not least because of the beef: native breed, dry-aged, bone-marrow-mixed...

Get your BURGURR at any Hawksmoor.

Who orders the same cut every time?

We all do it, don’t we? But what if your favourite steak isn’t actually your favourite?

P’raps you’re a rib-eye gal and never knew!

Our new Steak Flight puts four of our best, side by side.

So you and your gang of you play steak critic for the evening.

Here’s the lineup:

🥩 Hawksmoor Farms rump – big, beefy flavour

🐮 Wildfell Wagyu sirloin – rich, marbled and raised in Norfolk

🥩 Longhorn rib-eye – from the breed we started with 20 years ago

🐮 Aberdeen Angus fillet – tender, tender, tender

👇 Why you rest a steak 👇

It’s all about the juice...

When you cook a steak the heat drives those lovely juices to the centre and tightens the fibres.

Cut it too soon and those juices spill out onto the board. Not good.

Resting lets the heat settle and the fibres relax, so those delicious juices can spread back through the meat – where they belong.

A rested steak is a better steak. And no mistake.

The new Hawksmoor red. Here’s the story 👇

Our house tipple has done us proud for years. But it was time for a change.

Still an Argentinian Malbec – one we’ve helped to create – but even better suited to our steaks.

The Kaiken x Hawksmoor.

🍇 High-altitude vineyards in Mendoza

🍒 Dark fruit, a little pepper and spice

🍷 Soft, rounded tannins and a lovely long finish

Our steak’s new BFF, basically.

But it wasn’t just the w**e that drew us in.

Like us, **es is a certified B Corp, with a serious commitment to responsible farming.

We’ve found a w**emaker who shares our values – and made a w**e we think you’re going to love.

Grab a glass and let us know what you think!

🥩 Find your new favourite steak 🥩

We all have our go-to.

Rib-eye, sirloin, fillet... But have you ever put it to the test?

Enter the Hawksmoor Steak Flight.

Four excellent steaks from different breeds and farms, served side by side.

So you and the gang can taste just how much the cut, feed and farming affect the flavour.

You never know, you might be a rump person now!

Our City boy is turning 15!

Happy birthday to Hawksmoor Guildhall.

Mad to think we opened in October 2011.

The world’s changed a bit since then, but we’ve made a point of keeping things constant inside.

As Stef says, it’s always been a bit of a playground.

Client lunches, after-work drinks, full-blown feasts with the gang...

You come here to forget the stress, press the flesh, catch up and have fun.

Happy birthday, Guildhall. 🥂

Where does London sit in the rankings?

’s and ’s choices are great ones (it’s nigh-on impossible to get bad food in Bologna).

But our blessed capital came 4th in this year’s table, don’t you know.

And we’re proud to have made our little mark on it.

Quality British cooking with a very Italian philosophy: buy the best ingredients and cook them simply.

Speaking of which, have you tried Cal’s (not so British) bacon double cheese BURGURR yet?

It is immaculately tasty.

08/08/2026

The Burgurr is your ultimate bacon double cheeseburger.

🥩 Two dry-aged native-breed beef & bone marrow patties.

🧀 American cheese, the kind that oozes properly and goes wherever it wants.

🥓 Smoked streaky bacon for a bit of a snap.

🧅 Raw white onion, for something to bite back against it all.

🥫 A Calfreezy-made burger sauce

🍞 All held together in a milk bun built to take the weight.

Have it on its own, or with beef dripping fries and peppercorn sauce. Exactly how has his.

04/08/2026

has been a Hawksmoor regular for a decade. He’d also built an entire career reviewing burgers.

But for all that chat, he’s never actually made one.

Meanwhile, our , created the Big Matt, which was the World’s Best Burger in 2023.

So Matt called him out.

The BURGURR is the result.

03/08/2026

Calfreezy x Hawksmoor.

Years of ranking other people’s burgers. Now it’s his turn.

We’ve never collaborated with someone who isn’t a chef before, and Matt doesn’t put things on our menu lightly. So, there’s real pressure on Cal to get this one right.

Cal has stated “it’s comfortably the best burger I’ve ever had”.

And it’s good. Really good.

***Worth pointing out, the sauce has pickles in it. From the man behind a newsletter literally called ‘No Pickles’. He buckled on his own principles for this one, so you know it’s good.

Calfreezy x Hawksmoor

Built entirely by Cal, approved (and thankfully cooked) by Matt Brown. A fine duo, like Bellingham and Haaland.

Callum Airey, better known as , has made a whole career out of telling the internet his thoughts on burgers. He’s a harsh critic, and he’s eaten more burgers than any one person probably should. He even hands out his own golden burger award. He takes it all quite seriously.

But it turns out he’s never actually made one.

So we called his bluff. Matt Brown, the man behind the multi-award winning Big Matt and Royale with Cheese, handed him our kitchen and told him to prove it.

Days of testing, strong opinions, a few burnt bits of bacon, A LOT of arguments about pickles, and some sauces that will thankfully never see the light of day, somehow all came together.

And what came out the other side was The Burgurr (IYKYK).

The Burgurr launches Monday 3 August, in all our UK restaurants.

The summer special you go mad for every year.

No seriously, we’ve nearly run out of steak several times. This year, it’s one of the ways we’re celebrating our big birthday.

We know, we know. It’s a burger launch, not the next Christopher Nolan film. We just wanted an excuse for slow motion and a dramatic score. We stand by it.

What we can say is Matt’s co-creator has a lot of burger opinions for someone who’s never actually made one before... 👀

The burger lands on 3 August.

Which European city would suit Hawksmoor best?

You know what, Copenhagen keeps coming to mind.

It’s a city after our own heart:

🥩 Provenance, sustainability and exceptional ingredients matter

🌿 Beef is respected, not just oversized

🇬🇧 B Corp values and British heritage would bring something different to New Nordic dining

Then again, after that third-place play-off, we’re thinking Paris too!

Thoughts?

22/07/2026

The reason why is really interesting ⬇️

It’s a question of pressure building up inside the steak when it cooks.

Slice it too soon and it pushes the juices out onto the plate.

Resting lets the pressure subside.

Less on the plate, more in your mouth, better steak-eating experience.

Matt’s advice: rest it for as long as you cooked it.
