The Star, in the heart of Guildford, has been entertaining the people of the town for more than 400 years and is proudly continuing that tradition as the area’s longest-running live music venue. Close to the vibrant shopping district, river and Guildford Castle, the 16th century pub is split over three levels and has been refurbished to the highest standards while maintaining many historic feature

s. With a real fire, an intimate courtyard and a host of snug and cosy corners, it is a great place to relax, to soak up the atmosphere and to enjoy traditional pub food and distinctive cask ale. In the evenings, the mood changes in the separate function room as the pub’s fully-equipped, specialist music venue comes alive with regular entertainment from blues to stand-up comedy.

We have a new addition to our award-winning Whitstable Bay range with the launch of Whitstable Bay 0.5% Pale Ale, a refreshing new low alcohol beer.

Crafted to meet growing consumer demand for high-quality no and low alcohol options, while staying true to the brand’s distinctive coastal character, it is available in 500ml bottles, and combines four varieties of hops – Challenger, Jester, Mosaic and Amarillo – to create vibrant citrus notes and a crisp, refreshing finish.

It also introduces a fresh take on the range’s distinctive branding, with dark blue accents on the neck and front label alongside cool, silver tones, working with global creative agency, Thirst.

It delivers a refreshing and uncompromising flavour – we look forward to seeing our customers enjoy it!
