Wine Masterclass with Murdoch Hill ๐ท

We are delighted to launch the Merry Harriers Wine Club with a very special evening in partnership with Graft Wine, featuring a visit from acclaimed winemaker Michael "Mikey" Downer of Murdoch Hill.
This promises to be a fascinating evening exploring one of Australia's most exciting modern wine estates.
Murdoch Hill has been in the Downer family since 1939, with vineyards first planted in 1998 on the eastern side of the Adelaide Hills. Situated up to 516 metres above sea level, the estate's unique combination of cool climate, schist-rich soils and limestone creates wines of remarkable freshness, elegance and character.
Since taking over winemaking in 2012, Michael Downer has transformed Murdoch Hill into one of Australia's most respected boutique producers. Named Young Gun of Wine in 2017, Michael honed his craft at renowned wineries including Shaw + Smith and Vietti in Barolo before returning home to lead the family estate.
Guests will enjoy a guided tasting showcasing a selection of Murdoch Hill wines, from their acclaimed estate-grown classics to wines from the innovative Artisan Series, each paired with a specially curated menu created by our chefs.
