POV it’s Father’s Day , you’ve already got the gift in the bag, well, the virtual bag of a high quality fashion retailer (next day delivery please).

We get it, he’s practical, he needs more socks and they even go with his wardrobe this year (you noticed he only wears the comedic ones once, hey, you’ve matured). He doesn’t like ‘stuff’ and the things he really wants feel extortionate in this financial climate.

What he really wants (and is within reach) - and we know because we asked him - is a shiny, reusable gift card (made of eco degradable PVC) for his local speciality coffee shop . From a coffee here and there, to a bag of fancy Colombian or one of those cool tea mugs, zero sock cringe this year.

Collect in store for personal gift giving (or if you’re in time - posting). If you’re a last minute Larry or don’t fancy queuing at a post office to buy one singular stamp (for £5 or however much they cost these days), buy a virtual one and send it straight to his phone . Kickstand’s Oxfordshire Business Awards night , what a joy to be a part of the 30th anniversary and to be a finalist of the new business award by Enterprise Oxfordshire Business. Ethan & Lou fantastically represented our business , and who could have been a better hype woman than councillor Thomas of Your Councillors in Faringdon- a queen of supporting local businesses.

It was an honour be a finalist alongside such powerful and inspired businesses.

The winners are Tribela, which is exactly the kind of social platform that we want for our children’s future.

Our companion finalist is who have changed the game for electricians across the uk.

Good job we didn’t plan on making it - any guesses what we were up to ? … 🌸👶🏻 ✨

The Oxfordshire Business Awards final is … this Friday ! We are properly chuffed to be in the final three of the new business award category , sponsored by Enterprise Oxfordshire Business . It’s a little too well timed with our second baby due any day , so our much loved and well known Ethan and Lou are going in our places (trying and failing not to be envious of the night out!) .

Lots of you have asked in the past few weeks how to vote or support our entry, the winner is actually decided by panel of judges - months ago we put together (quite a hefty!) application, and more recently we talked an interviewers’ ear off . The rest is a wish and a prayer !

Fully supporting our young and growing family with a business that lights us up was once a dream (we were warned off it plenty!), and it’s already such a joy to celebrate that it’s a success by being in the final three.

Winning would be fun though, so cross your fingers for us Faringdon !

Doing what we can - we use compostable takeout options for both our hot and cold cups, yes it’s more expensive for us (mainly because we avoid those weird options that taste like cardboard) but it’s something within our power that makes a difference to us. Your own takeout cups are always welcome!

Have a great time at the corn exchange celebrating the big Green day, maybe pick up a coffee tea or smoothie for your wonder around.
