✨Bougatsa✨is a pie prepared with handmade thin, crispy phyllo, filled with either sweet or savoury goodness.

The origins of Bougatsa are traced back to Byzantium. It found its home in Thessaloniki when Greek refugees of the Greco-Turkish war fled from Constantinople and brought the recipe with them in 1922.

Since then bougatsa has become one of Greece’s most loved breakfast and street food favourites for locals and visitors from around the world alike.
