Well what a fantastic night for Bill Lawns birthday with our special guests SOAP providing the tunes with guest drummer Hammish, thank you to Fay and Sarah for again helping me in the bar couldn't do it without yous, im sure there will a few sore heads this morning 😀 Bill specifically asked for no presents but instead if folk could donate to Crohn's & Colitis UK so thanks to you all an amazing total of £660 was raised ❤️❤️❤️

Just getting to post now The Vic has returned to its pre POTP 2026 festival normality thanks Clive Braham stage returned to snooker room hopefully to do it all again 2027, first of all Sarah and I would like to thank our team/Vicfamily Kayleigh, Fay, Eilidh, Samantha, Natalia, and of course oor Mathew, all of you worked yer backsides aff and we couldn't have done it without yous, you're all amazing, next thanks to everyone of the bands who turned up and played yer hearts out in our wee pub, you were all fantastic and it was great to meet you all, thts the thing with POTP its the people that make it, its great to welcome back old friends from past years and lovely to meet new ones, unfortunately this year we done it without my hubby Big Davie, POTP was his favourite time in the pub he just loved it he absolutely loved the music he loved the people he kidded on he was doing his security but in reality he just enjoyed being in the middle of it all, so thanks to Iain Kilgallon for bringing the madness, you and David just clicked I never really understood it, it was all German to me 😏, he would have loved every minute of this year, but I think we all know he was there anyway, hope we did yeh proud big yin and here's to next year

Its nearly here folks from Thursday night till Sunday 2am The Vic will be here for all your punk fun 😁 bands Djs and an amazing atmosphere, Sarah and I, our girls behind the bar and of course oor Mathew will be ready to welcome you all back 😀 looking forward to catching up with familiar faces and meeting new ones 🎊💃🕺

ONE WEEK TO GO - THURSDAY 21st - PRE-FESTIVAL BASH
Yeh, only one week to go and for those travelling up on the Thursday, we've got a fantastic pre-festival bash to get you started for a weekend of amazing music and the odd wee drink or two.

So, in fond memory of "Big Davie" the landlord at The Vic who supported the festival for many years, we've renamed the Oi!ster Bar in his honour.

So, kicking off on the Thursday night from 7pm, we have

8:30pm - Control Unplugged
9:00pm - DJ Spon
9:30pm - The Aftershocks
10:10pm - Deadly Dave
10:40pm - The Deploied

(Timings may vary slightly on the night)

For those that have weekender tickets, this one's included but for others, we ask for a small contribution at the door.
