Today is Aleisha’s last day for a while 😢
She previously worked with us seasonally, but when a placement let her down, she joined us full time before heading back for her final year at Uni - their loss has definitely been our gain! So we’ve known since day one that this day was coming, but I’m still not quite sure how it’s here already. To say she will be missed is an understatement.
She cares a lot about giving every customer a great experience, regularly checking our Google reviews, even on days she hasn’t worked.
Her latte art is swan point 🤦♂️ She’s put so much time into practising, and it really shows.
And then there’s the fact that she is, quite wonderfully, incapable of lying. I discovered this fairly early on and have obviously had some fun with that information ever since.
But more than any of that, I’m going to miss having her on shift. The ridiculous ‘Would You Rather’ questions. The karaoke. Hearing about 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 band she’s ever seen live.
I won’t, however, miss the children’s packed lunches that continually filled the fridge - something homemade that tended to smell like trumps when reheated, and always accompanied by a Cheese String.
Good luck with your final year, Aleisha, and thanks for everything. You’ll be missed. 💚
This isn’t goodbye though. Look out for her returning seasonally!
