This coming Wednesday we’ll be hosting our hex weekly menu development tasting extravaganza.

Full disclosure I’ve already decided the rabbit leg is going on the menu full time, but the jury is out on the rest of it. I would really love to get the cod dish on, so let’s hope that’s a banger

We’ve got a couple of tables spare for both sittings, so it would make a perfect treat if you’ve forgotten to get your dad a fathers day present

It’s that time of the month again where we start to get misty eyed over our current crop of bistro dishes before we bid them a fond adieu to the big recipe binder on the sky

I know I say this EVERY damn time, but. I think this has been one of the strongest menus to date. That pork loin dish is a great lunch, especially if you are obsessed with chicory as much as me

But, as always we have knuckled down and come together with some more delicious treats your you next month

See you tomorrow lunch time? Let’s be honest, it’s better than a meal deal, and much like a holiday maccies, you can even a some booze with it

I suppose it’s about time we introduce our new bistro menu for June.

Written in the middle of a heatwave, so I had one eye on sweating to death and the other on the inevitable thunderstorms that will make up the rest of summer. And what we have ended up with is something that’s actually perfect for these hot muggy days we can’t seem to shake at the moment

STARTERS
Duck rillets & orange dressed frizee
Or
Vichyssoise, with chives & sourdough croutons

MAINS
Roast pork loin, crackling, chicory salad & apple sauce
Or
Rolled hispi cabbage, green “chorizo” & peas à la mexicaine

PUD PUD’s
Lemon crème brûlée
Panna cotta, pink grapefruit curd

An absolute delight of a summer menu in my humble and slightly biased option

You could be tucking in to this on the following day and time combinations

Lunch
Monday - Friday 12-14:30

Dinner
Monday - Thursday 17:30-18:30

Well well well, market fish Wednesday comes around quicker every week, and this weeks is an absolute blinder.

Sea trout, creamy Dijon sauce, crushed spuds and fine beans.

This one slaps harder than Peggy Mitchell that one time she found out Pat Butcher’s been having it off with R’Frank.

We even have some small delicious soles to grill with cafe de Paris butter for a starter. The whole deal is an absolute steal. 29£ for 2 courses
