We are a local pub with local interests in good quality fresh food, excellent service and friendly faces. Our menu is printed every day so there is always something changing. We have a playground in our garden complete with a refurbished Massy-Ferguson tractor for the children (and adults) to play on. Behind the bar we stock an ever changing selection of cask ales from Berkshire and the surrounding counties along side a unique wine list and an extensive selection of whiskies from all over the world.

It's Curry Week here at the Packhorse!

A new one for us here. From Monday 5th to Saturday 10th October, we’ll be taking part in National Curry Week.

Ferdie and Prem will be busy in the kitchen creating a changing selection of curries throughout the week, taking inspiration from flavours and dishes from around the world.

Whats on the menu? Well, you can expect:
- Malaysian fish curry
- Slow cooked tandoori lamb shoulder
- Aubergine, sweet potato and cashew nut Thai green curry

Monthly Dog Walk – Saturday 24th October 🐾

Join us for our next friendly dog walk on Saturday 24th October. We’ll be meeting at the pub at 10am, where you can enjoy a complimentary bacon sandwich and a cuppa before we head out together.

From there, we’ll set off on a relaxed 3-mile walk around Mapledurham, perfect for dogs and their humans to stretch their legs, socialise, and enjoy the countryside.

The walk is completely free, but we kindly ask that you book your place in advance. We’ll also be collecting donations on the day, so please bring some cash to help support our nominated charity, Berkshire Search & Rescue Dogs.

We’re absolutely delighted to celebrate Beth, who has achieved a fantastic Distinction in her Level 3 Food & Beverage Apprenticeship!

What a brilliant achievement and a real reflection of the hard work, commitment and enthusiasm Beth has shown throughout her apprenticeship. She has worked incredibly hard alongside her role in the pub, developing her knowledge, skills and confidence within the hospitality industry. We are super proud of you!!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our End of Summer Party on Saturday!

Although the weather wasn't quite on our side, you didn't let it stop you from having a great time, and we loved seeing so many of you enjoying the afternoon with us.

A big thank you also to Joseph James for the amazing live music.

Most of all, thank you to all of you who have supported us throughout the summer, whether you've joined us for a meal, a Sunday roast, or one of our events. You've helped make this summer a special one, and we're so grateful for your continued support.

A new one for us here at The Packhorse - from Monday 5th to Saturday 10th October, we’ll be taking part in National Curry Week.

Ferdie and Prem will be busy in the kitchen creating a changing selection of curries throughout the week, taking inspiration from flavours and dishes from around the world. You can expect everything from a Malaysian Fish curry to a Sweet Potato and Aubergine Katsu curry, with plenty more to choose from along the way.

There’ll be something for different tastes, from rich and comforting curries to lighter dishes, with vegetarian options amongst the selection too. Our Daily Menu will be running alongside the Curry Week menu, so all your usual pub favourites will still be available if curry isn’t quite what you fancy.

Our National Curry Week dishes will be available at lunch and dinner throughout the week, giving you plenty of opportunities to work your way through the menu.

It's the final time this year to come and enjoy our amazing BBQ! Just look at this burger! 😍

The outside bar is open and serving all your favourite summer drinks and we also have live music in the garden from 2pm.

Come and join us, it may be overcast but the garden is lovely and warm 🔥

Join us on Saturday 19th September for our End of Summer Barbecue as we give the summer a fitting send-off (weather permitted).

We've had an amazing summer and would like to thank everyone who has visited us. Whether it was for a midweek meal, Sunday roast, or for one of our many events. You all mde the summer amazing for us.

We'll be serving our classic barbecue menu throughout the day, while Joseph James performs live from 2pm to 6pm, providing the perfect accompaniment to an afternoon in the garden.

Pete will be behind the Spritz & Cocktail Tent, keeping everyone refreshed, while Beth will be on hand with garden games to keep younger guests entertained.

If you can't make it on the Saturday, our barbecue will be running all weekend, from 5pm on Friday through to 6pm on Sunday.

There's no need to book – simply come along, find a spot and enjoy the last of summer with us.
