As we say - a rather emotional - goodbye to Little Sugar and our home at The Goods Shed it feels only right to thank every sugar babe that's folded bread, bagged biscuits, swirled cakes and served pastries. From our first ever queen of clean Erin who tackled the mountain of washing up on a Saturday, to and who stepped in last minute to help our final stretch. Our bakers who all became assets to our team and made the long days shorter. Thanks to who we finally caved to her countless offers to "just wash up" and always did so with a massive smile. And the man by my side who gave me the first push to open because "well why not?", I owe your flagrant disregard for fear everything . Thank you and to miss quote Derry Girls: " being a Sugar Babe is a state of mind"

Time for a bittersweet post. For those who haven't heard we are closing Little Sugar at the end of May. Which gives you one more week of country sourdoughs, pain au chocolats and basque cheesecakes.

Myself and Joe are emigrating to Australia - Sydney to be exact - so are ending our time

Come by this bank holiday weekend to say goodbye with a bang. We're slinging pizzas and slices of cheesecake from 4pm on Sunday. Look forward to seeing you there!

Vacancies are rare in our little bakery. But we're now in need of a new server working behind our counter to make sure all our lovely customers get their hands on baked goods.

Position is full time, 5 days a week, Wednesday - Sunday. Availability to work over the weekend is a requirement. Pay dependent on experience. And yes free bread each week.

Celebrating local produce from and she makes a banging bacon butty especially with a touch of marmite. We feed our standard starter with ale and 100% wholemeal flour to give it a nice deep flavour. Rolled in a mix of sesame, black onion seed, caraway and poppyseed, she's one for the savoury sandwich lovers.

So pretty she needed a spot on the grid. By choice we don't do many celebration cakes but I couldn't say no to this one for one of our favourite customers. Two tiers of raspberry Victoria hearts with all the frills and scrolls you could ask for, I hope the birthday girl loved it as much as I enjoyed doing it.
