It really feels like summer down at the harbour! 🌊☀️

The terrace is full, the sun is shining, and there’s something very right about sitting outside with fish and chips, a cold drink and the harbour in front of you. 🐟🍟🍹

Our Fish & Chip Counter is open, the bar is serving all your favourite chilled drinks, and yes… we’ve got ice cream too! 🍦

We’ve got a lovely buzz down here today — people soaking up the sunshine, enjoying the food and making the most of being by the sea.

We’re looking forward to Bridlington’s annual Race the Waves, taking place 11th–13th September 🏁🌊 and this year it’s looking bigger and better than ever! 🔥

With all the fabulous beach racing 🏎️🏍️ plus brand-new tank rides on the beach🪖, it’s set to be an incredible weekend of action!

With direct access to Bridlington’s South Beach 🏖️ and just a short walk from all the action, we’re the perfect spot for a fish and chip pit stop 🍽️🐟 or a pint 🍺 in between the racing.

It’s an extremely busy weekend in Bridlington, so if you’re planning to visit us, we’d highly recommend booking a table in advance 📞. We’ll always do our best to accommodate walk-ins, but we can’t guarantee availability.

Race the Waves returns to Bridlington's South Beach on Friday 11th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September and it's going to be an incredible weekend. Vintage cars and motorcycles racing across the beach, the rumble of powerful engines, fresh sea air and that unique atmosphere that only Race the Waves delivers.

And this year there are two brilliant new additions that we are particularly excited about:

💀 Ken Fox Wall of Death. Making its Race the Waves debut, the legendary Ken Fox Wall of Death brings jaw-dropping skill and daring to the seafront as riders defy gravity in one of the UK's most iconic motorcycle stunt shows. Tickets just £4 per person on the day.

🪖 Beach Tank Rides. Yes, really! Brand new for 2026, SWB Motorsport are offering tank rides along Bridlington South Beach. An utterly unique experience at just £10 per person. Minimum height 1.2 metres.

Start planning your visit and if accommodation isn't sorted yet, don't leave it too long! Bridlington fills up fast for Race the Waves.

We were delighted to welcome Bridlington Spa’s very own Nora Bone to Salt on the Harbour today as part of the Bridmas celebrations. 🎄✨

Now, it’s not just the gorgeous food, the spectacular views or the highly luxurious accommodation that bring Nora back to Salt…

No… for Nora, it’s all about the sailors! ⚓😉

We love you, Nora! ❤️

🎄❤️ A very special Bridmas celebration at Salt on the Harbour❤️🎄

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming the residents and staff from Oak Tree Hall & Lodge, Bridlington as part of the town’s Bridmas celebrations.

It was wonderful to share a traditional Christmas dinner and Christmas pudding together, with lots of festive cheer and great company.

The afternoon was made even more memorable with a surprise visit from Bridlington Bridlington Spas pantomime stars — Jo Standerline ( Nora Bone the Pantomime Dame) and Troy Harriss (Muddles) — who joined us to help serve lunch and bring some extra Bridmas magic to the occasion. 🎭✨

It was thoroughly enjoyed by all, and we were so pleased to be part of such a lovely afternoon filled with smiles and happiness.

Thank you to everyone from Oak Tree Lodge for spending time with us, and to Jo and Troy for helping make the day so special.

Love being outdoors? Looking for a few hours of work each morning?

We're looking for a Morning Outside Cleaner to help keep Jerome's, Pavilion and Salt on the Harbour looking their very best, ensuring our guests are welcomed to clean, tidy and well-presented surroundings every day.

🕕 Hours: 6:00am – 10:00am
📅 6 mornings per week (rota basis)

Your duties will include:
🧹 Cleaning and maintaining all outdoor areas
🌸 Watering flowers and displays
💦 Jet washing paths and seating areas
✨ Cleaning external signage
♻️ Keeping bin stores clean and tidy
🪑 Preparing outdoor spaces ready for the day ahead

This role would particularly suit a semi-retired or retired person looking for a few hours of work each morning, but applications are welcome from anyone who enjoys working outdoors, is reliable and takes pride in a job well done.

We are looking to recruit one person, although two part-time positions may be considered for the right applicants.
