🌍 Tonight we attended the Climate Cymru People's Emergency Briefing at Barry YMCA, and it really got us thinking.

Climate change can sometimes feel like a huge global issue, but the reality is that its impacts are already being felt in communities across Wales and around the world. From extreme weather and flooding to rising food costs and pressures on nature, the choices we make today will shape the future for generations to come.

At Cadog's Corner, we believe strong communities can make a real difference. Whether it's reducing waste, growing food, supporting local initiatives, creating greener spaces, or simply starting conversations, every action matters.

📢 Let's get the People's Emergency Briefing out there for all to see and hear. The more we understand the challenges we face, the better equipped we are to take positive action together.

🧡 Hi everyone, we hope you've all had a lovely weekend! 🧡
Here's our schedule for the week ahead at Cadog's Corner.

We are delighted to be launching our new Confidence Building Course this Wednesday from 4pm–6pm. This is a relaxed and informal session where you can enjoy a chat, cake and coffee while building confidence in a supportive environment. We'd love to see you there.

🎶 Don't forget that Thursday is our Live Event Night! We still have a few tickets available, so if you'd like to join us, please send us a message to reserve your place.
Please note that due to the live event, our usual Thursday Good Food Café and Creative Kids sessions will not be running this week and will return as normal next week.

👨‍👧‍👦 On Friday, we'll be celebrating Father's Day at our Good Food Café with some delicious loaded nachos. Why not bring along your dad, grandad, or another special father figure and join us for lunch?

🧡 Understanding Sensory Processing Workshop 🧡

Are you a parent or carer of a child or young person and want to better understand sensory processing, behaviour and regulation?
Join ND Community Connectors CIC and Sensory Smart Child Therapies for this informative and supportive workshop.

⏰ 10:00am – 11:30am
📍 Victoria Park Community Centre

The workshop will explore:
⭐ Understanding sensory processing for regulation, participation and education
⭐ How the nervous system shapes the way we process and experience the world around us
⭐ How viewing behaviour through a sensory lens can lead to greater understanding, compassion and more effective support

Suitable for parents and carers of children and young people with or without a neurodivergent diagnosis.

Whether you've lost confidence through life experiences, struggle with self-esteem, or simply want to believe in yourself more, this friendly and supportive course will help you develop practical tools to build confidence and resilience.
