You know her. She’s ICONIC.
Christina has been running the floor at The Cookhouse for 9 years with the kind of calm, quiet command that makes everything look easier than it is.

She remembers your order.
The coffee you drink.
The little things you mentioned three months ago.
And she’ll greet you with that very particular Christina warmth, subtle, genuine, never overdone usually with a little ninja lurking somewhere underneath.

She’s been here through all of it. From the early days, to lockdown and the delivery kitchen, to thousands upon thousands of orders and all the beautiful chaos that comes with keeping a restaurant alive.

For the team, she’s a rock. For our guests, she’s part of what makes this place feel like this place.

She loves good food, travelling for good food, and running it off afterwards. Yes a ninja, mostly.

Today marks 9 years of Christina at The Cookhouse.
Nine years of showing up. Nine years of looking after people. Nine years of knowing exactly what needs doing before most of us have noticed.

Gladstonos goes car-free for the day, so we’re taking it outside and making a little room for the neighbourhood.
