We are a company of friends who are passionate about coffee and dedicated to the people who make it. We hope that furthering the knowledge and appreciation of this great product will ultimately help improve the lives of the people who depend on it, namely coffee farmers who are often trapped in poverty. We have spent years, improving quality at origin, importing, roasting and operating cafes. Now we are leveraging this experience to not only provide exceptional coffee but to help you thrive through our research, innovation, training and consulting,
All locations are fully certified teaching laboratories where we teach and certify students in a wide range of coffee curriculums, certified by the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe, Specialty Coffee Association of America, and the Coffee Quality Institute. These include the SCAE’s Coffee Diploma system, SCAA Foundations, Roaster’s and Barista’s Guild courses, and Cup Tasters Certificate, and CQI’s Q Arabica and Robusta grader certifications. At both our Chiang Mai and Pu'er locations we offer tours, with access to many local farms and processing facilities. You are not only able to learn in the classroom, but are also able to participate in very hands-on learning experiences, rounding out your coffee education. With Torch Coffee Lab you have the opportunity to fully engage the world of coffee, from seed to cup.
