CATS & SMOKING

During our dating events two "deal breakers" have been identified - they are cats and smoking....who knew, but it makes sense.

Not everyone is ok with smoking and not everyone likes cats. When it comes to smokers this is just what they enjoy doing and cats are pretty much family members.

Seems like we should have two new events: for cat lovers and people who smoke.

Thoughts? :)

OUR DATING EVENTS - RECAP

This was yet another event at Garrick Hotel that many, who don't know how this business runs, thought would not be possible or would be a complete failure. Yet it was a huge success!

We already had detailed approach in place to all events that we do here. But this was different. Different in a way that now it was very personal involving real and very personal feelings vs night out with drinks and music.

We sat on it for 6 months with original idea of partnering with another company. But then we did not like how other companies were handling it and also realized the opportunity we had to create unique event and experience like no other. We believe we were able to accomplish that (also based on the feedback we've received)

Biggest Challenge: for business that is result driven we don't get to see the final result. Unless people share their experiences it feels like building a ship, sending it to sail and not knowing what happens with it after.

Biggest Accomplishment: we've figured out how to shatter the wall of uncomfort and awkwardness. It was a big obstacle that many companies are trying to solve with silly ice breaking games. The idea only came to us before the last event and upon its implementation we knew that we finished the season with big accomplishment.

Dating events will be back in the fall.

FUN FACT

The hallways of the hotel part (upstairs 5 floors) are getting painted. Long overdue project that is almost done now (looks great!).

So what is the "fun fact"? All the painting was done by one woman. One very nice handy lady. It has been great working relationship for us.

She is not in any way an attention seeker on s.media. She just does the job and does it well, and we really appreciate it.

OUR KARAOKE events are just as awesome as any other event at Garrick Hotel.

*Admission is FREE (purchase of at least 2 drinks is expected)

Beautiful stage, amazing sound and great ambiance. Plus we get great singers!

Currently on Thursday & Friday 6-10pm.
