Today, we celebrate not just another year of your life, but also 11 years of vision, sacrifice, courage, and commitment to building AFV Kitchen into what it is today.

💼 We’re Looking for Volunteers!
AFV Kitchen is calling on passionate, friendly, and reliable volunteers to help us run the Africa Pavilion. This is a non-paid volunteer position, but trust us — you’ll leave richer in culture, connection, and joy.
As a volunteer, you’ll:
Assist with event setup, décor, and food stall preparation

Serve and sell food items to guests

Interact with attendees to educate them about the dishes — what they’re called, what’s in them, and how they’re enjoyed

Support cleanup and restocking during and after shifts

While this is a strictly volunteer role, all team members will receive:
✅ A delicious free African meal during your shift
✅ Behind-the-scenes access to the Africa Pavilion
✅ A chance to watch live performances and experience the Folklorama vibe

AFV Kitchen INC is a growing, multi-location restaurant company with three locations in Winnipeg Manitoba.
We are committed to quality, consistency, and excellence, delivering authentic Nigerian cuisine.

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Full-Time Cook who is deeply familiar with Nigerian cuisine and is fully available to support our operations, including evenings and weekends.

This position requires flexibility, consistency, and a strong understanding of Nigerian cooking methods, ingredients, and flavors.
This role comes with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week, with additional hours based on business needs.

Availability & Scheduling Expectations (Important)
* This role requires flexibility, including weekends, evenings, and peak service periods
* Weekend work is a core requirement of this position
* Scheduling across all locations is critical to this role.
