Making my own Mid-Autumn Festival mooncakes has always been a wish of mine, but I’ve always been too busy to make them. Although the festival has passed, I finally managed to make a very small batch yesterday and today using a recipe personally taught by the creator of the Peninsula Hotel‘s legendary custard mooncakes. They feature a flaky, crumbly crust and a rich, velvety custard filling. I’d love to share them with everyone, and they will be available in very limited quantities at the shop tomorrow!
