Merla Mae has been a favourite in the town of Thunder Bay since the 1950’s, when it was founded by Wendell Cathers as the first licensed drive-in in Thunder Bay, in 1951. Since then we’ve become famous for our twin flavoured ice cream cones, Root Beer milkshakes, home style burgers and have instilled a great sense of tradition in many Thunder Bay families.
