Established in 1905, the King Eddy has been a cornerstone of music, community, and culture for over a century in Calgary. The King Eddy was restored much like an artifact after being condemned in 2004, and today is building on its storied musical legacy.

Quebec singer-songwriter Mia Kelly plays the King Eddy with special guests Basset the Band on Nov. 21. 🎸

Mia is an award-winning singer-songwriter with a distinctive blend of folk, rock, and blues. Her voice winds and weaves stories, raw and breaking with emotion, in English and French.

Toronto folk duo Basset joins her with stunning harmonies reminiscent of the early folk revival and a live show that’s as sincere as it is funny.

Tomorrow night, Newfoundland folk singer Matthew Byrne hits the King Eddy stage. 🎶

One of Canada’s foremost traditional singers, Matthew brings rich, powerful vocals and a refined guitar style to songs that open a window into the past.
