Brisbane paused to honour 125 years of naval service as HMAS Moreton delivered a Beat to Quarters and Ceremonial Sunset in King George Square. ⚓

With City Hall glowing blue, the ceremony paid tribute to the sailors who have served our nation and those continuing to serve today.

💙🍻 WOW… WHAT A FATHER’S DAY AT YEPPOON RSL! 🍻💙

What. A. Day! 🙌

From lunch right through to dinner and into the evening, Yeppoon RSL was absolutely buzzing today!
A huge crowd, fantastic live music, massive raffles, plenty of laughs and some glorious Yeppoon sunshine out on the deck. ☀️🎶

And best of all, a whole lot of dads being celebrated! 💙

🎸 Matt Lawless kicked off the entertainment from 12pm to 3pm and did a brilliant job getting the afternoon underway. Then from 4pm the rest of the band arrived and the music continued well into the evening.
What a fantastic atmosphere!

🎁 AND THOSE RAFFLES!
They were HUGE!

Kings fridges, Kings barbecues, bottles of w**e and all sorts of fantastic prizes found their way into the hands of some very happy winners. Congratulations to everyone who took home a prize and thank you to everyone who supported the raffles!

👏 A massive shout-out also has to go to our incredible volunteers. You were exceptional! From behind the scenes to helping throughout the day, your hard work, smiles and willingness to lend a hand helped make the whole celebration such a success.

And to all the fathers, grandfathers and special father figures out there, Happy Father’s Day!
We hope you were spoilt rotten and enjoyed every minute of your day. 🍻💙

Beautiful weather. ☀️
Cold drinks. 🍻
Live music. 🎶
Great food.
Huge raffles. 🎁
A packed deck.
And a wonderful community coming together to celebrate Dad.

Seriously… what more could you ask for?

An exceptional day, an exceptional turnout and an exceptional Father’s Day celebration.

From everyone at Yeppoon RSL Sub-Branch, THANK YOU to everyone who came along and spent part of your Father’s Day with us.

You made the day! 💙🇦🇺

We were proud to be part of the celebrations held at the Rockhampton RSL last Sunday evening to commemorate their incredible 100-year anniversary. 30th August.

Our President Jeff McIlroy was there to represent the Yeppoon RSL Sub-Branch and join in this very special milestone.

It was a wonderful evening filled with celebrations, great conversations and the opportunity to reflect on 100 years of service, mateship and community.

Channel 7 News was also there to capture the occasion and share this important milestone with the wider community.

Congratulations to the Rockhampton RSL on 100 years. A remarkable achievement and a very special night to be part of.

Lest We Forget.
