From October 1(today), businesses can no longer pass certain card surcharges on to customers.
At Lazizz, we’ve never wanted to hit our customers with extra fees, and we’re not using this as an excuse to increase our prices either. We have never surcharges.
But honestly, sometimes you have to wonder whether the people making these decisions have any idea what it actually costs to run a small business.
Ingredients are up. Rent is up. Wages are up. Electricity, insurance, packaging and pretty much everything else keeps going up.
And while we’re trying our best to keep our prices reasonable, small businesses are expected to just keep absorbing the increases.
We’re not a massive corporation. We’re a small family business, and every customer genuinely matters to us.
So if your local café, bakery, restaurant or small business has to increase their prices, please don’t take it out on the people behind the counter. They’re doing their best to survive too.
Support local businesses. Spend local. Keep your community’s small businesses alive. ❤️
Because once the little guys are gone, they’re not coming back.
