TANABATA FESTIVAL AT PAPI KATSU

Join us for an evening inspired by Tanabata, Japan’s Festival of Wishes.

Celebrated each year across Japan, Tanabata is a tradition centred around hope, dreams, and new beginnings. Guests write their wishes on colourful tanzaku and hang them amongst bamboo branches, creating a beautiful display beneath the stars.

For one night only, Papi Katsu will bring this tradition to life through a specially curated share-style banquet, seasonal drinks, and an immersive dining experience designed to honour the occasion.

Your experience includes:

• A specially curated Tanabata banquet
• Seasonal drinks and festival-inspired touches
• Access to our Tanabata Wishing Tree activation
• A tanzaku for each guest to write and display their wish

In collaboration with the incredible team at we brought together premium cuts, wine, and whiskies for an unforgettable evening.

The response was overwhelming, and we’re grateful to everyone who came down and shared the experience with us. Events like these are all about bringing great people together over outstanding food and drinks, and this one certainly delivered.
