🫶Good morning, fellow legends!🙌

💕This one’s been a long time coming, so I’ll keep it short(ish) and sweet🥰.

If we’ve met before — hello again👊. If we haven’t — nice to finally meet you🤝. I’m Keenan, the Chief Chowder-er and working manager here at Hungry Sailor Marcoola (yes, I do actually work… most days😉).

I jumped onboard⛵️ just over a year ago and have been stirring the pot ever since. With the help of my ridiculously AMAZING team, we’ve shaped a menu that keeps the regulars coming back and convinces first-timers to stick around like barnacles. We’ve been rolling out fortnightly specials that you genuinely won’t find at your average fish and chip shop. And we recently introduced a loyalty program👏 for locals(ask to join next time you're in).

While I'm still shaking🤭 with excitment from it all— we’re NOWHERE NEAR done!

We’ve got some truly unique, slightly unexpected things lined up for the rest of winter, and we’d love for you to be part of our unhinged plans.

😁Our Chowder is 💯% made from scratch!😇

🐟🦐From the stock to the bowl, we put hard work and love💕 into every spoonful, and we KNOW you can tell by the reaction we get!!!

✅️And while we also put this effort into the entire menu(and will start blowing🤯 your minds with our other AMAZING dishes), we just wanted one last post to focus on the awe of Chowder season!

Good morning, everyone! ☀️
We have a quick update for today: we won’t be opening until 4:00 PM this afternoon while our kitchen gets a little TLC and some brand-new tiling. 🛠️✨
We know, we know... how are you going to survive Monday lunch without us? We deeply apologize for the inconvenience! Local council deadlines wait for no one, so we had to get this ticked off the list before July 1st.
Thank you so much for understanding, team. We are pushing through the reno and cannot wait to serve you tonight.

👉We here at Hungry Sailor are true believers of keeping money in the community. We have a lot of young, long standing staff that rely on us, not only for income, but also for professional and life-long experience.

🏡We use local produce, local suppliers... we hire, train, mentor, and look after local staff. We direct customers to other local small businesses, and try to keep every 💲 close to home.

We do this because we understand the importance of community, and in today's world the backbone of that is LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS.

So even if it isn't us you're spending with.... keep it local: you're local baker🥖, your local butcher🥩, fruit & veg🥬, local cafe☕️, and local pub🍺.

🔨We will be closed🔒 for kitchen maintenance during lunch tomorrow, Monday 15th of June.

We WILL be open for dinner, however. Or late lunch.... or Dunch..... or Linner??

Whatever term you choose is fine😁, as long as you still join us after 4PM.

Sorry to ruin any lunch plans you may have had, but tradies wait for no Sailor!
