🥉 Last weekend, we brought a little bronze home to Mackay. ☕
We're incredibly proud to share that Pablo's Candy has been awarded a Bronze Medal at the 2026 Australasian Golden Bean Awards, competing alongside some of the very best coffee roasters from across Australia and New Zealand.
One of the best things about attending Golden Bean is being surrounded by people who are just as passionate about coffee as we are. Over the few days we had the opportunity to connect with fellow roasters, green bean importers, producers and industry suppliers, sharing ideas, learning about new methods, sustainability initiatives, roasting techniques and the future of coffee across our industry.
Those conversations are invaluable.
As a specialty coffee roastery in Mackay, we're incredibly proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with some of Australasia's most respected roasters. It's a reminder that passion, dedication and a commitment to continual improvement matter far more than the size of your postcode.
A huge congratulations to Bryan, who roasted our Bronze-winning batch of Pablo's Candy. While the profile was originally developed by Dan, it was Bryan's consistency, care and attention to detail behind the roaster that earned this recognition. To Dan, thank you for your relentless pursuit of quality and for creating coffees that continue to challenge and inspire us. Your passion for learning and improving is something that flows through our entire team. To our incredible team, past and present, and everyone who proudly wears the Primal shirt, thank you. Every coffee served, every order packed, every customer looked after and every behind-the-scenes task contributes to moments like this.
To our customers, our wholesale partners and the incredible Mackay business community, thank you. So many local businesses (and beyond!) support us, encourage us and help us grow. We truly believe local businesses are stronger when we support one another, and we're incredibly grateful to be part of such an amazing community.
This medal might have our name on it, but it represents every person who is a part of the Primal journey.
