Seafood Country of Origin Labelling Update❤️

From 1st of July 2026, Australian hospitality businesses are required to display the country of origin of seafood served on their menus.

While we always aim to use Tasmanian and Australian seafood wherever possible, availability can vary throughout the year. Our flounders have always been catch of New Zealand.

To ensure compliance and transparency, all seafood dishes at Golden Brumby will be labelled as (M) Mixed Origin Seafood.

This allows us to continue sourcing the best available seafood while serving your favourite dishes.

❤️Crispy Skin Roasted Ducks❤️

Coming out of the oven are fresh, hot, aromatic roasted ducks, ten whole ducks sold tonight, straight from the oven.
Hubby has spent the past few days meticulously preparing these ducks to ensure they're perfect for his special duck oven.

Our authentic Cantonese-style roasted ducks are made using our traditional family recipe.
Hubby carefully cleans, skilfully pumps air, marinates the insides with sauces and seasonings, blanches, then applies a honey lemon glaze, and air-dries the ducks before roasting them to perfection.

These delicious ducks, made with love and dedication, are truly the tastiest in Launnie!

❤️ Homemade Beef Dim Sims ❤️

In this batch, we made 3,800 dim sims, made with 25% lamb leg meat. Our initial idea was to create pure lamb dim sims, but due to the high cost of lamb and the need to keep our prices affordable, we decided to blend the lamb with the beef instead.

Hubby begins by carefully mincing the beef and lamb in his custom-built mincer/mixer.
He then chops up fresh cabbages he had personally selected from Mr. Young's Vegie Shed - Launceston, supporting local farmers.
All the ingredients, minced meats, cabbages, seasonings and flour are combined and mixed in his mixer for at least 30 minutes to craft our flavorful dim sim filling.

Finally, Hubby and I dedicate 2 full days/nights into handmaking these dim sims pouring our care and passion into each one, steaming them gently until perfectly cooked.

Our tasty, meaty dim sims are available hot in three options: steamed, fried, or battered. Additionally, we offer fully cooked (Steamed only) frozen bulk buys:
- 30 dim sims for $55
- 60 dim sims for $100

What a productive weekend spent making our irresistibly delicious spring rolls!

Hubby starts by hand-picking the freshest local vegetables from Mr Youngs Vegetable Shed Launceston.
Next, he skillfully prepared the filling by chopping the vegetables, soaking and cutting the rice vermicelli to the perfect length.
Then he seasoned the fillings for that perfect flavour, finally my turn to carefully wrap them.

Our spring rolls are cooked in fresh vegetable oil to achieve that unbeatable crunch. These healthy, super yummy rolls are a guilt-free treat that will delight your taste buds!

Hubby and I wrapping Won Tons using the silky thin won ton pastry, creating that irresistibly smooth and velvety texture when served in our nutritious chicken broth Soup, or fried to golden perfection for dipping into our homemade Sweet and Sour Sauce.
