Hope Cafe Tasmania Hope Cafe Tasmania is a cafe with a difference and a heart behind it. Teen Challenge Tasmania works with youth on a day to day basis within many programs.

Welcome to the latest Social Enterprise for Teen Challenge Tasmania, our new Hope Cafe Tasmania. This is far more than a Cafe, don’t get us wrong it’s pretty special but it’s the heart and purpose behind it that really makes the difference. We believe for youth to build resilience within the world they need to be connected, encouraged and motivated. MISSION STATEMENT

young people through relationship, training and support through social enterprise”

Hope Cafe, now open over a year, is a training ground for local youth to gain real life experience and provide pathways to employment within Hospitality. Some of the team you meet within the Cafe are young people taking a big step in this area, so feel free to encourage them when you’re in the store. In our first year we had 20 young people in the program, 8 gained employment, 7 reconnected or went on to education or further education and 5 were a combination of employment & education. Excellent results. This year we have 14 new young people in the program to date.

This month has been one of our biggest yet for Hope Café Catering, and we simply want to say thank you.

To every business, organisation, church and individual who trusted us to cater your meetings, events and gatherings, your support means far more than providing great food.

Every catering order helps support the work of Teen Challenge Tasmania, creating opportunities for us to continue investing in young people through programs like Our Place, Connections Mentoring, , and Brain School Tasmania.

When you choose Hope Café Catering, you’re not just ordering lunch. You’re helping create safe spaces, meaningful relationships, early intervention and hope for young people in our community.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported us this month. Whether it was a morning tea, business lunch, soup and sandwiches or catering for a larger event, you’ve become part of something much bigger.

We had the privilege of hosting a student from Australian Christian College for work experience recently!

They were a huge help with our Soup & Sandwich with Purpose orders, making snacks for Our Place and other catering jobs!

It’s been a little quiet on our socials… but behind the scenes Hope Café Catering has definitely not been quiet 🍴✨

Over recent weeks our kitchen has been busy creating and packing catering for meetings, events, celebrations and community gatherings. We didn’t manage to photograph everything (time pressure was real!), but here’s a little glimpse of some of what has been heading out the door.

Fresh flavours, plenty of variety, attention to detail and a whole lot of purpose packed into every box.

The best bit? Every catering order helps support the work of Teen Challenge Tasmania and creates opportunities that build confidence, skills and pathways for young people through our social enterprise model. So while you’re feeding your team, guests or event… you’re helping fuel futures too.
