✨ WHAT. A. NIGHT! ✨

What can we say… it was an absolute pleasure and honour to be the caterer for such a special celebration — 150 years of Cairns Regional Council and 100 years of our good friends at Underwood Party Hire & Event Specialist! 🎉

A night filled with history, storytelling, celebration and plenty of good times, all set against the beautiful Cairns Esplanade. 🌴✨

And of course the incredible fireworks display 🎆

490 guests enjoyed a selection of canapés followed by a two-course alternate drop dinner, with our Ochre team proudly looking after every detail.

It was pretty special to be part of a night celebrating not only the incredible history of our city, but also a local family business that has been part of Cairns for a century.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in bringing this incredible event to life — and to our amazing Ochre team who worked tirelessly to make it happen. 💛

150 years celebration of Cairns. 100 years of Underwood Party Hire. One unforgettable night.

We are very proud to call Cairns Home 🥰

🎉 WE’RE CLOSED TODAY — BUT FOR A VERY SPECIAL REASON! 🎉

Today, the whole Ochre team is swapping the restaurant for a very special celebration as we have the absolute honour of catering for Cairns’ 150 years, in conjunction with Underwood Party Hire’s 100 years! 🥂🎂

With 500 guests to look after, we need the whole Ochre crew on deck! 👏

It’s a huge honour for us to be part of such a special milestone for our city — and we’re incredibly proud to be showcasing our food, our team and a taste of Far North Queensland at this celebration. ❤️

We do apologise for closing the restaurant today and any inconvenience this may cause, but we promise it’s for a pretty special reason! 😉

We’ll be back open on Monday as usual — see you soon! 🌴🥂

✨ Look who’s had a makeover! ✨

Our Front of House team have NEW uniforms, and we’ve taken it right back to Ochre’s early days! 💛

Swipe across to see then & now — from the early days of Ochre to our team today, proudly representing that iconic Ochre colour. 💛

A little bit of nostalgia, a fresh new look, and the same Ochre spirit we’ve had for 32 years!

What do you think of the new look? 👀

✨ A night that was First Class! ✨

We had the pleasure of catering for 140 guests at the stunning Tanks Art Centre — this time taking over Tank 5 for the First Class Financial Conference. 🍽️🥂

Guests enjoyed an alternate drop entrée, followed by a generous banquet main and banquet dessert, all showcasing the quality and creativity of Ochre Catering.

Add in an evening packed with live performers, awards, Australian beverages and plenty of celebration, and you’ve got one unforgettable event! 🇦🇺✨

A fantastic night in an incredible venue — and another great event in the books for the Ochre team! 💙

400 guests. One incredible night. 🍾✨

What a fabulous evening catering for rebel sport at the Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal!

Guests were treated to an action-packed night of live food stations, roving canapés, roving desserts and plenty of drinks — with something delicious happening everywhere you turned. 😋

🍣 Sushi & Sashimi Station
🥢 Asian Station — Singapore noodles & bao buns
🍔 Joe’s Diner — sliders & brisket buns
🌮 Mexican Station — empanadas, fish tacos & fajita bowls

Add 400 hungry guests, a fantastic atmosphere and a whole lot of fun, and you’ve got one memorable night!

Even better, Rebel Sport has been a valued return client for five years now, and we’re so happy to continue being part of their events. 💛

Thank you for having us — we’ll see you next time! 🥂

🍺 IT’S FRIDAY! 🍺

Afternoon b**rs on the boardwalk? Absolutely. 🌴☀️

Kick off the weekend with a cold one from local Cairns brewery Macalister Brewing Company poured fresh and enjoyed with those waterfront views. 🍻

Because Friday afternoons were made for sunshine, good company and a draught b**r in hand. 😉

🍤 PRAWNS WITH A LITTLE AUSTRALIAN TWIST 🇦🇺

Juicy prawns tossed through silky lemon myrtle fettuccine, with garlic, cherry tomato, chilli and white w**e. Finished with a touch of Australian flavour and plenty of love from the Ochre kitchen. 🌿🍋

Fresh, local, a little bit native — and seriously hard to resist.

Ohhh, this was a special one! 🥂💍✨

It was an absolute honour to cater for Flavia & Steve’s wedding on Saturday at the stunning Ellis Beach.

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, the beachfront setting was pretty spectacular, and 100 very happy guests enjoyed canapés, delicious fork dishes, many, MANY drinks 🍾🍸 and plenty of dancing into the night! 💃🕺

Shoutout to Two Tribes Events for the gorgeous furniture and styling — they absolutely nailed the relaxed, beachfront wedding vibes! 🌴✨

Thank you, Flavia & Steve, for letting the Ochre team be part of such a beautiful celebration. ❤️

And we’ll see you at Ochre for your anniversary celebrations… because obviously, we’re already looking forward to the next party! 😉
