Most people think red wine and Thai food don’t belong together.

We’re about to prove otherwise.

On Saturday 11 July, Soi 38 and Chaffey Bros. Wine Co. present a multi-course journey through Grenache, exploring the connection between Thai flavour and wine through smoke, spice, texture and fruit.

Beginning with vibrant rosé and progressing through expressive old vine Barossa reds, each wine has been paired with a dish designed to challenge expectations and showcase just how well Grenache can work alongside Thai food.

A long lunch built around one grape, four wines and a completely different way of thinking about food and wine pairing.

Every Thursday in June, we’ll be serving a rotating lineup of curries not usually seen on our menu. Some will return throughout the month. Some will only appear once.

A curry tasting plate with all three curries and rice will be available for $40, alongside full serves of each dish.

Slow cooked. Layered with spice. Built for colder nights.

Last year, Curry Night became one of the most talked about events we’ve ever done.

So we’re bringing it back.

Every Thursday in June, the kitchen at Soi 38 will be running a rotating lineup of Thai curries, built the way we like to cook: layered, slow, intense and unapologetically full of flavour.

Some dishes will return.
Some won’t last the month.

And yes, the full menu is available with our special curry offering.

We’re looking for waiters who can hold a section with confidence and deliver service that feels present, considered, and genuinely attentive.

You will have:
– Proven experience running a section smoothly
– Strong passion for food and beverage knowledge
– Confidence guiding guests through the menu
– The ability to sell naturally, without pressure
– The awareness to read the room and respond to guests
– A team-first mindset in a focused, professional environment

We value people who are switched on, take pride in their work, and care about how a guest feels from start to finish.

RSA essential.
20+ hours per week.
