SAD NEWS: Veteran Actress Memory Bususu Dies.
Zimbabwe is mourning the death of veteran actress Memory Bususu, a gifted and versatile performer known for her roles in some of the countryβs most loved television dramas, including Parafin, Pfuma Ye Nhaka, and Ngozi.
Bususu began her acting career in the early 1970s in Highfields, Harare, where she featured in commercial productions by Canaan Patterson. Her early work laid the foundation for a distinguished career that would see her become one of Zimbabweβs respected figures in the film and television industry.
She passed away on Monday, 12 April, following a period of illness.
According to family sources, Bususu will be laid to rest in Buhera on Tuesday, 14 April.
Her death has been met with an outpouring of grief across the arts sector, with many remembering her contribution to Zimbabwean storytelling and cultural expression.
She is survived by family, friends, and a legacy that continues to inspire generations of artists.
