Farewell from Manta Café, Umdloti
It’s with heavy hearts that we share the news that Manta Café will have its last trading day on 31 October 2025.
After five beautiful years, our lease has come to an end. Despite our best efforts to renew it under fair and workable terms, we haven’t been able to reach an agreement that would allow the business to continue in a sustainable way. In a time when running a small business has become increasingly tough, this was not an easy decision — but it is, sadly, the right one.
To our loyal customers, our local community, our suppliers, and every person who’s ever walked through our doors — thank you. You made Manta Café what it was.
And to our incredible staff — your heart, warmth, and dedication have been the soul of this place. We couldn’t have asked for a better team to share this journey with.
This isn’t goodbye forever, but a bittersweet “see you later.” Thank you, Umdloti, for five unforgettable years.
