We loved welcoming Georgia East, writer, cook, food stylist, photographer and author, to Schoone Oordt and The Conservatory.

Her time here was spent noticing the small details that make a place feel alive, working with light, food and atmosphere in a way that feels both thoughtful and unforced. There is a quiet ease to her creative process that sits so naturally within this space.

It was a true pleasure to have her capture and experience a part of what we do here, through her own distinctive lens.

Breakfasts at Schoone Oordt are made with love and passion, served as a 3 to 4 course gourmet experience that has become something of a signature.

There are no buffets here, each guest is seated and served at the table. The morning begins with a seasonal fruit salad, homemade granola and double cream yoghurt, alongside freshly pressed seasonal juice, orange in winter and watermelon in summer.

This is followed by a small platter of local cheeses and charcuterie, as well as freshly baked scones or muffins. Guests then choose a starter and main to complete the experience.

It is a breakfast best enjoyed slowly, at a leisurely pace, as the morning unfolds.
