Gabby van Heerden is an art teacher and artist based in Greyton. Working in mixed media, her work reflects her deep connection to nature. Her work is whimsical, decorative and colourful. Gabby’s work is inspired by the exquisite small details, patterns and designs, found in the natural world around her.. She draws inspiration, healing and a spiritual connection from the beauty and form in nature, transforming this into art. She uses her work as a tool for healing, inner reflection and processing. At the end of 2019 her home burnt to the ground during a mountain fire in Greyton. Through processing this trauma she used her art making as a powerful form of healing Gabby is also passionate about sharing art making as a path to healing, self transformation and inner reflection through workshops with both adults and children. Her love of colour and design is reflected in her work. Gabby hopes that her work brings a sense of beauty, fun and joy to those who interact with it, its message is simple - find beauty in the small things around you.

Perfect wintery morning at the behind in Swelledam. Roosterkoek with sweet strawberry jam, cake pops, great coffee, live music and a beautiful set of beeswax candles for home.
Fab play area for the kids including swings, a sand pit and a joyous jump on the trampoline (for only R10!).

We'll be back!
