OPEN GARDEN MORNING
Recently the Somerset House community was treated to live music, freshly baked goods, coffee and beautiful flowers from the Sustainable Garden. It was an amazing morning which allowed the community to see the incredible work being done in the garden. All funds raised are ploughed (pardon the pun) back into the garden and help with future projects and the ongoing maintenance of this wonderful space. Special thanks to our Musicians for the beautiful melodies that enhanced the morning as well as Bäckerei and Merkava that made sure it was a tasty morning too!

☕🚴 Your R1 becomes R4.

We’re proud to be part of Double Shot, supporting Pedal For Good’s TrailTherapy programme, using cycling to help support the mental health of young people in our local community.

Here’s how your R1 goes a little further:

🟠 You add R1 to your coffee
☕ We add R1
❤️ Boys Night Projects doubles it

That R1 becomes R4 towards TrailTherapy.

Pedal For Good runs weekly, trauma-informed cycling sessions for adolescents in the Helderberg struggling with depression and anxiety. Since 2021, they’ve reached more than 650 young people from schools in Firgrove and Macassar.

So when you order any coffee at a participating Merkava Coffee location, simply say YES when your barista asks if you’d like to add R1.

It’s a small addition that can help make a huge difference.

And if you’d like to know more, or would like to give more than R1, head to our stories to scan the code.
