🎉 5 YEARS OF VDM BISTRO 🎉
Five years ago today, in the middle of one of the most uncertain periods in modern history, we took a leap of faith and opened the doors of VDM Bistro.
What started with humble beginnings, plenty of hard work, sleepless nights, and more than a few challenges along the way has grown into something we could only have dreamed of. From navigating the realities of opening during COVID to expanding our offering with a dedicated bar section, the journey has been nothing short of remarkable.
Along the way, we have been privileged to achieve milestones that make us incredibly proud. In 2023, VDM Bistro was voted "The Most Authentic Dining Experience in the Western Cape," and since then we have had the honour of being featured in two lifestyle magazines. These achievements are a reflection of the passion, dedication, and support of everyone who has been part of our story.
Today, as we celebrate our 5th birthday, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude.
To my business partner, Jac — thank you for believing in the vision from day one, for standing shoulder to shoulder through every challenge, and for sharing every success along the way. Your dedication, loyalty and hard work have been instrumental in building what VDM Bistro is today. I am incredibly grateful to have had you by my side throughout this journey.
To our amazing staff, both past and present — thank you for your commitment, professionalism, and unwavering support. You are the heart and soul of VDM Bistro, and your hard work has helped create the warm and welcoming atmosphere that our guests have come to love.
To our loyal customers, friends, and supporters — thank you for every booking, every meal shared, every celebration hosted, every recommendation made, and every word of encouragement over the years. Your support has allowed us to grow from a dream into an award-winning destination, and we never take that for granted.
Five years later, we remain humbled by how far we've come, grateful for every person who has walked this journey with us, and excited for what the future holds.
