As a family owned and operated eatery, we serve authentic Korean cuisine and delicacies with a hand of mom’s cooking. Kimchi, tofu and majority of sauces and marinades are made in-house with pride. In addition, we have indoor grills equipped on each table to enhance the flavour of bulgogi, samgeopsal and galbi for a perfect Korean BBQ night out!

Now that 2026 is underway, we want to take a moment to look back and say thank you.
To everyone who walked through our doors in 2025 for everyday meals, quiet catch-ups (either with yourself or your loved ones) and special occasions… Your support is the reason Banchan continues to exist.

We’re also grateful for our staff who showed up day after day, often behind the scenes, making sure everything runs smoothly.

2025 was a full year for us “because of you”.
As we move further into 2026, we’ll keep doing what we have always done. We will keep serving good food with care.

Cooking with J’Something was everything we love ❤️ Real flavours, real people, and real joy.
It reminded us why we began Banchan in the first place. We’re here to share honest Korean flavours, made with heart, with people who love good food and good stories.

We started here in Parkmore almost a decade ago, as a small kitchen where our family cooked for neighbours and friends. Those early days taught us that food tastes better when shared, around a full table.

Jamie remembers how it all began:
“When we first started Banchan, we lived just two streets down from our first location. One day, my father and I were walking along Elizabeth Avenue and saw a To Let sign. Instantly, we both knew that this could be the perfect spot for us.
Mom and Dad cooked in the kitchen, and my sister and I managed the front of house. It was really a humble beginning of our family business.”

As time went on, our family also grew — marriages, children, birthdays, and countless shared meals all became part of Banchan’s story. The restaurant grew with us.

That’s where ‘Banchan is Family’ began. In a small kitchen, filled with hope and hard work. And of course, the sound of home.

This October, Banchan invites you to step into a different world with 𝗞 𝗣𝗢𝗣 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀: 𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲.
On 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 9 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, our restaurant transforms into a playground of music, food, and culture. Whether you come with your family in the afternoon, or with friends for the adults-only evening session, the day promises a mix of fun and unforgettable moments.

The first session (12–5 PM) is all about families and younger fans. You’ll find K-pop sing-alongs, face painting, DIY corners, traditional Korean games, and plenty of chances to join in the fun – from treasure hunts to “guess the song.”

The second session (5–10 PM) is where the energy shifts into night mode. It’s adults only: open karaoke, a lively dance floor, food challenges, and free karaoke rooms for those who want to sing their hearts out.

And throughout the day, our outdoor 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 will be serving up Korean favourites – from tteokbokki and kimbap to fried snacks – so you can fuel the fun while soaking up the atmosphere.
Tickets are 𝗥250 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 (includes 2 food coupons and all activities) or 𝗥600 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸 (2 adults + 2 kids under 16, with 4 food coupons).

🍊 Sweet, citrusy, and softly sparkling - Our yuja ade brings back memories of childhood visits to our grandmother’s home in Goheung, a region known for the best yuja in Korea.

We remember the scent of yuja in the winter air, warm cups on cold mornings, and the way our halmoni always had something comforting ready.
