THE COUNTDOWN IS ON! 10 DAYS UNTIL THE PARADE!

Parys, it’s almost time to take to the streets!
On Thursday, 24 September, we’re celebrating 150 years of Parys with a colourful Heritage Day street parade, and we want everyone to be part of it.

Here’s how the day will unfold:

08:00 | MEET & GATHER
Everyone taking part in the parade will gather on the open field between Unie and Wes Streets. This is where the excitement starts, so arrive early, get settled and soak up the atmosphere.

10:00 | THE PARADE STARTS!
The parade sets off and makes its way through the streets of Parys, bringing together local businesses, organisations, community groups, performers, artists, sports clubs and residents. Expect colour, creativity, music and plenty of Parys pride along the way.

11:00 | LIVE PERFORMANCES
At 11:00, the parade pauses between Father Ballink and Middel Street for an hour of performances. From 11:00 to 12:00, the streets become a stage as we celebrate the talent and creativity within our community.

12:00 | BACK ON THE MOVE
After the performances, the parade continues towards its final destination at the open field next to the fire station.

THE CELEBRATION CONTINUES!
Once the parade reaches the fire station field, the official parade comes to an end, and participants can head off in their own direction.

But the Heritage Day atmosphere continues with the Parys 150 festive marquee, where visitors can enjoy food stalls, w**e and gin tasting and time together with friends and family. So whether you're marching, performing, supporting a local business or simply coming to watch, make a day of it!
